Sony PS3 2.51 Firmware Update Is Out: not for retail
By: Peter Chubb | October 27, 2008 | 6 CommentsSony has done something very strange this time round on their PS3 update. Normally Demonstration Firmware updates come after the retail console update, but this is not the case with Sony PS3 2.51 Firmware Update.
This new firmware update has been released on the demo unit first, so retail owners of the PS3 will have to wait. There are a number of reasons why this could be; one of the most logical would be that there have been a number of conflicts with the recovery menu on the demo units.
Do you think that Sony have made a mistake to launch PS3 2.51 Firmware Update on the demo units first, or is it a good idea to use them as a test first?
