Qik, the startup that allows you to stream live video to the web direct from your cell phone, now has support for the ever popular RIM BlackBerry platform. The software is not on a full release just yet, but is in alpha, so there are bound to be a few bugs in the software.
Qik offers support from a number of BlackBerry handsets, including the Pearl and Bold. A later release of the software will offer support of the Curve and Flip. With Qik offering support for BlackBerry’s, they have now cemented themselves as leaders over the likes of their competitors Kyte and Flixwagon.
Qik are not the only ones to offer BlackBerry support for Live Video Streaming, Next2Friends were the first which must have forced Qik in to doing the same. Apple iPhone users are now waiting to see if Qik will offer support for them, you can use it on a jailbroken iPhone, but not through the App Store.
