Japan’s Dell Inspiron Mini 12 Netbook: larger Mini 9

We reported last week that Dell are to launch a new larger version of the Dell Inspiron Mini 9, the new model will be the Mini 12 Netbook, and it has now been made official with a launch in Japan on Sunday. The 12 Inch version of this Dell netbook will be released in the U.S. by mid-November.
The new 12 Inch screen offers those a choice to move up from a 10 inch Lenovo IdeaPad S10 and the MSI Wind. The screen offers a resolution of 1,280-by-800 resolution, most other netbooks only offer 1,280-by-600. The Dell Inspiron Mini 12 Netbook measures 9.0-by-11.8-by-0.92 inches, and weighs just 2.7 pounds.
The netbook comes with a 3 cell battery as standard, but a more powerful 6 cell battery will be made available later this year. The Inspiron Mini 12 comes packed with a host of features, including 1.3-megapixel camera, multicard reader, and a choice of 40GB, 60GB, and 80GB hard drives.
