iPhone 2.2 Firmware has T-Mobile G1′s Google Maps Street View
By: Peter Chubb | October 27, 2008 | Leave a CommentOne of the best features of the new T-Mobile G1, the first handset to use the Google Android software, is the use of Google Maps Street View. The way that it has been implemented on the phone is very slick.
It seems that Apple wants to get in on the party and have Google Maps Street View on their iPhone. The latest version of Firmware update 2.2 is to have Street View seeded to developers; the new software will also have the ability to give mass transit directions.
The Line-in audio will now be supported in SDK; this allows developers to create voice recorders as well as a number of other great audio apps. As yet we have no details as to when iPhone firmware 2.2 will be ready, but we will keep you updated.
