Garmin Nuvi GPS systems were launched back in August, but the high-end version, the 785T is just hitting stores now and it will have to perform well to compete in this very competitive market. Early review’s say that the Garmin Nuvi 785T is a vast improvement over previous Nuvi GPS systems.
The sat-nav provides a fast frame rate and has superb 3D lane guidance. Other features that make the Garmin Nuvi 785T great are semi-realistic building displays and upcoming turn features; however there are a number of things that do let it down.
The first letdown is the MSN Direct traffic implementation; this produced less than accurate results, as well as the free traffic service built into lesser T-series nuvis. GPS Magazine’s review suggested that you should consider the 765T model instead.

Seems to be dead on accurate so far. Turns on and aquires a signal much faster than my old Garmin (680). POI data base seems very complete and up to date.
