Xbox 360′s Gears of War 2: Tons of Glitches

By: Peter Chubb | October 24, 2008 | 2 Comments

Gears of War 2 for the Xbox 360 has now been available to a number of Xbox 60 users who have a nodded box, and the game has a number of glitches in it, which have been popping up all over YouTube.com

One of those glitches is that you will have an advantage over your opponent; this for many ruins the whole Online Multiplayer experience. This is just of many glitches that have been found, and more are popping up all the time.

What is sad about this is, it is a problem that should not exist, it is the fault of greedy people who make pirate copies of the game and then copy them time and time again. It is this process that ruins the game, but there is a much bigger picture here, pirate games are ruining it for all gamers.

How are glitches the fault of pirates?

In many respects EPIC games should appreciate them bugs and glitches coming to light NOW before the games release so they can get working on a patch for them.

Some “pirates” actually by the games the play and simply download as a way to try titles. After all if the argument is lost revenue what about rented games or promo copies?????

I am guessing the pirate copies could be from an earlier version of the game which may have unfair advantages to some players, e.g. before difficulty levels were tweaked to balance out different characters abilities. Or possibly the pirate versions have been altered/cracked in some way to give the players an advantage.
I totally agree that pirating games like this is ruining the industry and will just result in higher prices and more protection on games – such as those so many people complained about in Spore on the PC. We will end up going back to big printed manuals where you have to type word 6 from paragraph 9 on page 135 in order to play!
