Far Cry 2 on Sony PS3: Apparently it’s lacking

As we know Sony are always bigging up their PS3, saying that it is the only “true” HD console. Well it seems that with the release of Far Cry 2, it has giving them a swift kick in the behind, as the game is hampered with a number of issues.
Gamers have been complaining that the game has widescreen issues, and the 3.5GB install is also not going down well with PlayStation 3 owners. Reviewers have said that the PS3 version fall’s shorts of the Xbox 360 version.
The problem is the PS3 of Far Cry 2 only supports 720p, while the Xbox 360 version offers full 1080p support. Ripten has put the blame on the developer, saying that they are lazy and stupid, and that it is not the fault of the Sony PS3.

i thought this page was for the difference in HD not console wars!
if you want to take it that way then list the xbox exclusives for the rest of the yea compared to the ps3. i can only think of gears 2 and fable that interest me compared to socom, lbp, motostorm, resistance 2, home although not a game but does look interesting but u can compare that the the new dashboard of the 360 shortly. how about wipeout hd that has ben recently released? even warhawks servers are bigger than ever after a years release.
why dont you just sell ur free ps3 and make some money rather than saying its a door wedge? ill be enjoyin both sides because im a real gamer! hmmm i should be all the above games next month on both consoles lol i do feel sorry for you missing out on such games.
but yea back to topic, i stil go by what it posted earlier and the performance on both systems depend largely on the developers optimisation.
oh and if you are now looking on the internet for a list of exclusives then you should gtfo this site because you should know your chosen console more if you want to start bashing the competition lol
Chris you see what you said there ‘think‘ I’m mistaken, i learnt very young that you shouldn’t generally open your mouth unless you ‘know‘ what your talking about and generally theres very little what I’ve said is based on what i think rather what I know for instance there is a list of native 1080p games in existence I will dig it up for you if you want and you will see the 360s list coming in at a mighty 3, whereas you rely on your TVs input settings which would say 1080p even if it is upscaled. I will provide the list if you wish but other than that I refuse to conversate with someone who is blatantly feeling some ‘buyers remorse’ and feels the need to justify his purchase.

I was commenting on the HD topic till soemone moved it into a console war. You mentioned a “real gamer” and then a few PS3 excusives and the only 2 360 exclusives. If you are not aware of games like Left4Dead, Nuts&bolts, Lips, At the moves, GTA DL, Halo wars (just 2009) and others. Then you are not a really gamer. Also the PS3 games are a bit weak, Socom( Boring), LBP (2D side scroller, get a Wii), RS 2 ( The first one was shocking), Motor storm (get 8/10 in IGN) and don’t talk about home, it has sex affender writen all over that….. Wouldn’t touch that with your barge pole :). Regaring the PS3 and selling I can as if I cancel the braodband I have to give it back, if I don’t have it them I have to pay £300…
