Did the Sony PSP-3000 do it for you?
By: Peter Chubb | October 24, 2008 | Leave a CommentThe Sony PSP-3000 was surrounded by so much hype, but it seems as if the handheld is not living up to those expectations. This has left many owners of the new PSP angry, and you can understand why. The Sony PSP-3000 is not anywhere near as good as what Sony had promised, one reason why these people purchased the upgraded PSP.
So what is the problem with the screen, well some games and videos seem to interlace, this is more evident when watching fast moving objects. IGN wanted to try and get to the bottom of the problem, so contacted a Sony rep.
The rep said that on some occasions lines appear on scenes where the brightness changes quickly, this is a hardware fault with the Sony PSP-3000. As the new handheld has improved response time, it has had an adverse effect on scan lines being more visible.
