T-Mobile G1 firmware update: HTC Google Android gets bug fix

The T-Mobile G1 was officially launched yesterday, October 22, and already a firmware update for the HTC Google Android has been made available. You have to wonder why the handset needs a new firmware update, when it is just one day old.

The update is meant to include a number of enhancements, as well as a bug fix. It is not know what the enhancements will do, but the bug fix has something to do with the songs on Amazon.

The update for the T-Mobile G1 will be made available between the dates October 23 and 25. If you receive your Google Android handset after this date, you will be able to get the update two or three days after the handset has been activated. New T-Mobile G1 cell phones will already have the update pre-installed.

Is the G1 hackproof ? Looks like a amazing phone but material to make it generic ?
