Netflix and Samsung sign new Internet movie deal

Netflix Inc. has signed a new deal with Samsung Electronics Co., the new deal will bring movies from the Internet to your home using a range of Samsung devices. These new Samsung products will also play high-definition Blu-ray movies.

Netflix pioneered the format of DVD rentals through the mail, and have now gone down the route of delivering these movies through the Internet. Samsung’s two devices, the BD-P2500 and BD-P2550 Blu-ray disc players, both of which cost around $400.

These new devices will allow users to access movies through a Internet video service, which currently offers a choice of over 12,000 movies, as well as TV shows. These Samsung products are already available, but are early versions, so do not offer you the full service. Future version of these Samsung devices will have the Netflix access built in.
