
Arista Networks chief quits Sun Microsystems to challenge Cisco Systems

Bechtolsheim has created some of the best computers systems in the industry.
Arista Networks looks as though it is on to something great, as they have developed an ultra-fast networks switch, which is just one-tenth the cost of a similar Cisco product. The government labs, Internet start-ups and universities have already purchased a small a quantity of these new products
Andreas von Bechtolsheim will be the chairman and chief development officer of Arista, with Mr. Bechtolsheim behind the company they are certainly going to do well. Just take a look at his track record, being one of the co-founders of Sun Microsystems, who helps to invent their high-powered workstation.
