T-Mobile G1: good start but still a bit rough
By: Peter Chubb | October 22, 2008 | Leave a CommentToday saw the official launch of the T-Mobile G1, and the first handset to use the Google Android operating software phone is a good start. The phone is a good start, but still a bit rough. The features of the phone are consumer friendly, but the phone does suffer with a few flaws, but this is to be expected as it is the 1.0 version.
The G1 has been manufactured by HTC, and like the Apple iPhone 3G, has a touch screen. The G1 also has the added benefit of a QUERTY keyboard; I think that it is an overkill to have the choice of two.
The T-Mobile G1 only comes with 1GB of storage, compared to either an 8GB or 16GB iPhone. On the plus side, the G1 uses removable microSD card. This makes the phone easier and cheaper to expand your memory.
