Fable 2 Legendary Weapons: Guns and Crossbows

Fable 2 is just a few days old and already people have been looked in hand-to-hand combat, but if that did not go well for them they would be able to use some legendary weapons. Some of these cool weapons are guns and crossbows, which take a bit of getting used to if you, are a Fable fan.
The first Fable did not have weapons like these, but as Fable 2 is set 500 years later, we are now in the swashbuckling age, where pistols are as common place as the sword. If you do not like the idea of using a gun, then you should try the crossbow, which is available for purchase.
If you were a fan of the first Fable game, do you think that now having guns in Fable 2 is good for the game, or has it spoilt the game as an whole?

well Sparrow the long bow from fable 1 was really cool and if there was a legendary bow in the game that would be pretty sick but its 500 years later bows are obsolete.
I have finished fable 2 but i mainly did the story part and i was just wondering if there is anyway to get weapons that are “legendary” without having xbox live…
I have to disagree with you What?(to the name not the question) bows were not obsolete in the 1700(closest date to the colonial era clothing I could find) they were still used for game hunting and surely if they thought of inserting a toy pop gun they should have inserted one long bow at least.

also the release date thing Im thinking that was because Microsoft is a big business corporation and probably had more say in release dates than lionhead.
and you just got to love those flintlock pistols when it comes to weapon choice.

I like the guns, I’ve never played the first fable but i really like the second one. An improvement i think they gcould have made was less boundries ( force wlls) jumping and diving underwater, but thats just my opinion. and im pretty sure there is a legendary longbow.. i have a egendary katana, The Daichi. And yes you can get legendaries without Xbox Live.
Fable 2 is the best game ever made! At first i was a little disappointed because i was under the impression it was going to be more like Oblivion but then i started playin and the game is strait hood. Anyone who dosen’t like this game should have their nut sac fall off. Long bows were gay anyways in Fable. Everyone used the crossbows anyways because they were more powerful

Well, since this has simply turned into everyone’s opinion, I thought I’d add mine.
I personally agree that Fable’s combat system is nice (especially with high ‘brutal styles’) and that the guns are a great addition. I also agree that the use of willpower is quite tough to get your head around, but it is easy once you get the hang of it. My Fable character is a holy will-user and I haven’t died. I still have like 2 on physique.
I also like the fact that Fable opens to more than one crowd, I mean that the life-living, family side of it could pose a totally different game. I love just making money then buying entire towns overnight!
Finally, there’s no need to be horrible about either country. Microsoft don’t exactly have a golden reputation and money is the thing.
Oh, and swearing is immature.
I got mine on th3 21st but our oz release date was on the 23rd
