Xbox Live Primetime delay may stop instant success on 360
Filed under: Gaming, Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 may have been bought by gamers but like the Sony PS3 it is capable of so much more, and Xbox Live Primetime was one of these extra services to make the 360 more than it is.
Microsoft has delayed this new service; Xbox Live Primetime includes a series of interactive games with real-world prizes. The main reason for this delay has been put down to the launch of the 360’s new “Xbox Experience”.
It makes sense for Microsoft to do this so that the new user interface gets a smooth launch, too much at once will cause problems. Sadly the Xbox Live Primetime service would of given the 360 a foot-in-the-door against television shows dominated by TV.
Forbes feel that this was the perfect chance for the Xbox 360 to get instant success in this market place, but they now feel that Microsoft may have put this chance at risk. You can read their article here; let us know what you think.

So much more? What? Play Blu-ray?
Gaming, Bluray player, DVD upscaler, media center (music, videos, photos), Internet Browser, email, remote play (music, videos, photos, internet, games), Video / Voice chat, Folding@Home, photo printing, TV and Movie purchasing/rentals…. All these services without a single subscription fee.
Did I miss anything?
Nynja,
360 has that and some. but you cant brows the net with 360. thats made for PC computers “Ya Im a PC” or Apple. does PS3 have Netflix? can you have access to 12,000 movies for free like 360 does since your an Xbox Live memeber. which only costs about $3.80 per month. Does PS3 have Gears, or Halo? lets not forget that Tekken is coming to 360 as well as Final Fantisy. Oh ya, MGS4 might come too since Konami has not made any profit on the game with Sony. they are not happy with the sales. not a rumore cause Konami is looking into it. 360 has the best network system. Sony has Blue Ray, wow… did you know your PS3 outputs 1080P at 60Hz refresh rate, when a real Blue Ray player that is cheaper than PS3 that does it at 1080P / 120Hz refresh rate. ya so suck it =o)
