Xbox Live Primetime delay may stop instant success on 360
By: Daniel Chubb | October 21, 2008 | 3 CommentsThe Xbox 360 may have been bought by gamers but like the Sony PS3 it is capable of so much more, and Xbox Live Primetime was one of these extra services to make the 360 more than it is.
Microsoft has delayed this new service; Xbox Live Primetime includes a series of interactive games with real-world prizes. The main reason for this delay has been put down to the launch of the 360’s new “Xbox Experience”.
It makes sense for Microsoft to do this so that the new user interface gets a smooth launch, too much at once will cause problems. Sadly the Xbox Live Primetime service would of given the 360 a foot-in-the-door against television shows dominated by TV.
Forbes feel that this was the perfect chance for the Xbox 360 to get instant success in this market place, but they now feel that Microsoft may have put this chance at risk. You can read their article here; let us know what you think.
