T-Mobile G2: Yes another Google Android Phone

With the launch of the T-Mobile G1 hitting stores tomorrow, October, 22 people are already asking what the next Google Android will look like. The new phone will obviously be called the G2, and one thing is certain, it should be able to learn from the G1 and become one of the best handsets on the planet.

Our friends over at Phones Review have managed to get hold of some mockup photos of the T-Mobile G2, and boy do they look good. Who would have thought that people would stop talking about the G1 for a bit and start talking about what the G2 will be like.

Phones Review tell us that the new T-Mobile G2 will have less dead space, will be flush, have a tilting screen with twice the resolution. With Google throwing its weight behind the phone, it should have some of the best software on any handset.

Wow… You obviously don’t understand wat I’m sayin here (it’s pretty clear though…cough… cough) I don’t care if u chose the Touch HD before it’s even on Android, wat I’m sayin is that leaving the g1’s design for the g2 and using the touch hd’s would hurt google’s sales numbers significantly. DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW?

wat does android mean for a phone

  3. TareX says:

Android is a mobile phone Operating System that Google recently made. It is the an open mobile OS, meaning it’s free, anyone can download it, improve it, and develop programs for it, free of charge.

Actually google bought out the company Android in 2000 they did not make the operating system, maybe improve it but did not make it. Why didn’t they just get right the first time this really pisses me off. You couldn’t have made a sleeker phone and put the tilt screen on it !!!! Does google know that the phone is being bashed everywhere. Don’t get me wrong I love my G1 but i just still cant get over the short commings. Your Google you should be able to beat Apple hands down in every aspect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im sorry I still like iphone better, the G2 better be sick……………..

Yea I agree that Google should beat Apple bigtime. Google owns Youtube so they should have a faster way to have the videos download on there OS. Also if they make the G2 sleeker, better touchscreen, faster reponse, and talk with Intel and HTC about makin an Intel Mobile Processor then that would destroy Samsung, Motorola, Apple, and Blackberry smart phones. Its all on playing your cards right I am workin on a mobile OS of my own if anyone interested in helpin email me wmnchrisjones@aol.com

G1 isn’t all that, phone freezes up on u and Youtube takes awhile to play a video.I posted it on ebay and sold it for $400 when i paid $200 for it. T-Mobile is still my favorite just the G1 ain’t what people make it out to be. Happy Holidays!

You do know this is fake… it is a mock up not a real phone. There is only the Andriod 2.0 update coming soon. So far there is no phone set to be the G2 “For Sure”. Right now the G2 is a concept phone someones idea mocked up and made with photo shop.

I think the G1 needs some work. I like my G1 yet it just is slow with changing applications especially text messaging. It is always changing from 3g to wifi every five minutes. Also I wud like to see better youtube and a touch keyboard on the so called “G2″! And I hope android or google or whoever will allow the G1 users to get a software upgrade off the market or something soon that speeds up all the applications and stuff.

P.S. I am using the G1 right no and I am noticing the letters are appearing slowly!

yea i want the same thing(touch screen keyboard)…good thing it just came out. look in the market for Chomp sms. it is a texting app you can use the qwerty keyboard and the touch screen. you can even text through chomp by buying credits.

I got soo exciting when i heard about G2 phone, i just want it to look a bit sleeker, shinier maybe? i saw this excellent photoshop edit of the G2 phone
    http://www.talkandroid.com/android-forums/android-hardware/341-t-mobile-g2-phone.html
i really like the change in the grey knob and the whole image overall.
then again… this is a bit too much like the HTC.
Sleekness is very important in my idea to the image of a phone o.O
to the improvements that Chris Jones mentions, those would be excellent but of course it’s easier said that done.
i would love the new era of phone thats are like computers/laptops but smaller and portable.
These improvements will come with a price though… im sure, who knows how much it would cost!
