2008 LA Design Challenge: field shows far out concepts

The 2008 LA Design Challenge chose its theme as Motorsports 2025, and we had already seen a couple of the entrant’s concept design, one of which was the MMR25 Rally Racer from Audi. We can now tell you that the rest of the field has finally revealed themselves, and the concepts certainly look far out.

The field includes entrants from most of the top automakers today, from Audi, BMW, General Motors, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Volkswagen. Looks like Ford decided to sit this one out then.

These concepts really have to be seen to be believed, just imagine what a Le Mans racer concept would look like, or a new BMW F1 racer will be like in 2025. Mercedes-Benz has realized that in 2025 there will not be much oil around, so have gone for a green concept.
