Poor Santa Fe, Sonata sales forces Hyundai to slow production

Hyundai has seen a 15 percent drop in Sonata sales since the beginning of 2008, and it is for that reason why Hyundai is to slow production of the vehicle. Hyundai is to slow their Alabama for 11 days, from now until the end of the year.

There has also been a drop in Santa Fe sales as well, by 2 percent. Hyundai has said that the slowdown in sales warrants the slowdown of production. Hyundai know that this is not a great time for workers to financially.

The automaker will schedule these days on Fridays, as well as around Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. Hyundai will now keep a close eye on the situation, and hope that this current slump due to economic turmoil will soon return to normal, so full production can once again resume.
