Alfa 149 photos: similar to MiTo and 8C Competizione

We have managed to locate some photos of the new Alfa 149, this hatchback is stunning and take inspiration from the MiTo and 8C Competizione. Like most Alfa’s the 149 has a sporty look, while still giving enough space for passengers at the rear.

The new Alfa 149 hatch is all set to go head to head with Ford’s new Focus. If I was to go on looks, then the Alfa has it won already, but the 149 will have to have great build quality as well as handle well to be in with a chance.

The Alfa 149 will have a petrol engine staring with a 1.4 liter, to a 1.9 diesel engine; the engines will produce from 120hp to 250hp. The five door hatchback will go on sale in the middle of 2009, with a starting price of £16,500.
