Acura the first to get a Honda V8 engine

There is no denying that Honda engines have always been just that little bit special, this is because they have refused to conform to the standard of engine design. For years the Honda powerplant has rotated in the opposite direction to the rest of the market, just like their motorcycles do.

Honda are not ones who like to put anything more than a V4 engine in their cars, unless it is one of their Acura vehicles. The company’s luxury brand have been enjoying the use of a V6 engine, but customers still think that it is lacking power and refinement.

It now seems that Honda have had a change of heart, and have now developed a V8 engine. These new poweplants will be used in the Acura brand, it is not certain which model will get to use the new more powerful engines, but more than likely in their RL and SUV range.
