What if Nintendo made LittleBigPlanet for the Wii?

LittleBigPlanet will bring to the Sony PS3 some refreshing gameplay, lovable characters, innovation and limitless possibilities. But some gamers feel this game was brought to the wrong platform.

Game On Nintendo has posted an article that may moan a little about how Nintendo Co., Ltd (Public, OTC:NTDOY) have missed out on something very special, but they do have a very valid point. When they said, “LittleBigPLanet could have been the next incarnation of the Mario Paint franchise”, they could not be more right.

The Playstation 3 has hit a Home Run with Little Big Planet, yes the game has all the markings of a Nintendo game but it is not one. Nintendo have made an amazing games console in the form of the Nintendo Wii, its graphics may be a little sad but it’s gameplay has been second to none for many gamers.

Sony needed something that was not just about graphics, it had to take on the Wii for gameplay and personal creation…they did it with LittleBigPlanet. Nintendo has missed out big time on this one, PS3 gamers can now play great graphics games and something that’s a lot more innovative.

That said, what if Nintendo had made LittleBigPlanet for the Wii?

@ Dave: Great argument, good to see someone that can enjoy all consoles and not make a big fuss about who’s better. I Agree completely with all that. My last purchase was SSBB but there’s heaps of games i still want on retail, meanwhile i download a lot of Wiiware games.

While i don’t have the 360 or PS3, i still enjoy their titles on my gaming PC, i never really had 2 consoles of different brands, always had my PC to play different games than on whatever console i have.

It’s good to have 2 different gaming machines so you get more variety of games you can play, but hey crying and moaning about other consoles is just lame, enjoy your console and have fun with it! don’t think Nintendo Needs LBP, just like Sony doesn’t need Metroid.

About Sony going down with their fans.. well… LOL. If you think about it, Nintendo was always concentrated on kids, but their kids games reeled in hardcore gamers too. You can’t blame Nintendo on Casual, cause they haven’t made that many casual games, most of their games on the Wii and DS are their hardcore franchise, the casual stuff is usually made by other companies. Research then come back and blab all you want.

this article is stupid, LittleBigPlanet its a playstation game, period, whats the point of wondering what if this was on wii, this is a great game for ps3, and that’s all there’s to it, and this is a nintendo fanboy talking.

Tony, you should find an educational game for your Playstation, since you clearly haven’t mastered basic writing skills. Kudos to anyone who can decipher your poorly-written gibberish. But I suppose it’s ‘cool’ to you to write like crap…

  4. Meshgiath says:

If Nintendo had made LBP for the Wii, not only would it be OUT by now - but we wouldn’t have had half a dozen release dates before now. Nintendo tends to deliver where Sony tends to over hype and under-deliver.

the fact that he thinks a laptop is better then a ps3 and uses the word coolio shows hes about 12 and therefore knows nothing of gaming or specs of consoles your very ignorant if you think a laptop is better then a ps3 if you aint with sony get of this forum.

the fact that he thinks a laptop is better and uses the word coolio shoes he about 12 years old and is very ignorant and childish he knows nothing of gaming or games therefore he does’nt have an opinion as he knows nothing of this console plus all children like laptops cos u can go on msn on it and parents love them as they are cheaper then buying a console or computer like sign up for broadband get a laptop free and all that

OMFG LBP DELAYED TILL NOV 6TH JUST TO REMOVE 1 SONG FROM CODING TAKES 1HOUR TOPS IF IT HAD BEEN SOMETHING FROM THE BIBLE NO PROBS BUT NOT THE QURAN STUPID FAKE RELIGION. :(

  7. tony says:

shut up dave wii’s have bad graphics bad controls and bad fans LBP cant come to wii it has no hard drive to save games to thts b4 the fact wii uses dvd’s 8.5gb LBP takes up 39GB of the 50GB Blu-ray Disc if your gonna try and stick up for a console that sucks or 1 tht burns its own discs with a 51% failure rate get ur facts straight ive had all 3 consoles ive had 3 xbox360’s 1ps3 and 1 wii if they are so great how come im selling 600 pounds worth of games and accessories on ebay and cant even get 250 pound for them ask yourself that.

i can write its called short hand text so im not sitting here all night writing like you i enjoy all 3 consoles but with the 360/ps3 the wii is lucky to be played 1 time every 3 months and the games are casual and still 40 quid when i could have a console were virtually all games go online or have online features you can slag me all you want but ill end with this LBP will never be on Any Other Console FACT.
