What if Nintendo made LittleBigPlanet for the Wii?

LittleBigPlanet will bring to the Sony PS3 some refreshing gameplay, lovable characters, innovation and limitless possibilities. But some gamers feel this game was brought to the wrong platform.
Game On Nintendo has posted an article that may moan a little about how Nintendo Co., Ltd (Public, OTC:NTDOY) have missed out on something very special, but they do have a very valid point. When they said, “LittleBigPLanet could have been the next incarnation of the Mario Paint franchise”, they could not be more right.
The Playstation 3 has hit a Home Run with Little Big Planet, yes the game has all the markings of a Nintendo game but it is not one. Nintendo have made an amazing games console in the form of the Nintendo Wii, its graphics may be a little sad but it’s gameplay has been second to none for many gamers.
Sony needed something that was not just about graphics, it had to take on the Wii for gameplay and personal creation…they did it with LittleBigPlanet. Nintendo has missed out big time on this one, PS3 gamers can now play great graphics games and something that’s a lot more innovative.
That said, what if Nintendo had made LittleBigPlanet for the Wii?

i got both wii and ps3, and although there are many good game on wii, lbp, just makes u go back for more, and now there releasing water eeee
If Nintendo got littlebigplanet, everyone would of said its another casual game for the wii. Nintendo needs more “hardcore” games.
What it Sony made wiisports, what it Microsoft made Mario galaxy, what if Nintendo made Halo.
It’s just a bizzare question to ask and to be honest it has all the hallmarks of a sony game.
Great game : Sony can make great games
Temporary mascot: Remember crash, Lara Croft, Parappa the Rappa..yeah sack boy will be popular and then sony will cut his publicity funding and he will fade into obscurity.
Takes advantage of internet in a big way: Somthing nintendo can’t get there heads around and Microsoft moniter Live too much to allow somthing like this game.
I agree with tony - Sony focus on BOTH hardcore and casual gamers - however, they make their casual games appeal to hardcore as well. Now Nintendo with the Wii - they’re just focusing on casual and havent made any hardcore games since SSBB - which was about 7 months ago. I’d be pretty mad if I’d bought a Wii - its like they’re saying to their loyal fans: ‘we get more money out of casuals, so you’ll have to wait for your hardcore games’. This is the reason I prefer PlayStation consoles over any other - if they’re losing money and going down hill - they dont look at casual to save them - they go down with their fans - just like Sega did, and that is why I respect those two companys out of them all.
erm i just think that that little big planet might be good but just like mgs4 it wont save the ps3 sony are shit they had a little bit of luck with their first two consoles becuase nintendo was being ran by an ignorant and very old skool president at the time but now nintendo are back where they are meant to be i have all three consoles and i will be getting this lbp game but its just another game and its going to get boring just like any other game but it wont help the ps3 at all there’s just nothing amazing about the ps3 my laptop is better than my ps3 wii is just coolio and ps3 is just not coolio ide rather the xbox more games better online better games wii60 there the kings and i aint now fan of nothing but i am a reelist telling yall the truth so get a life and go check the lifetime sales of all three consoles and tell me different aihg lol nintendo the champs
i bought a wii and have played it twice and sold it 2 hours ago on ebay its so annoying that sony announce home so microsoft produce avatars we preduce LBP and they claim it would be better on wii for 1st it would’nt look as good in 480p 2nd were would you store the maps on an online server? cos theres no harddrive to store maps and how would they fit LBP onto a dvd ? nintendo fans think they are so great lol a band of casual gamers theres no such thing every 1 secretly wants to win anyhow made my point add me if u wanna mix it up on LBP.

I can see Little Big Planet being made for the Wii as well. Nintendo seemed to like it a lot. Cross-platforms would be a great idea, as well as for people who only have access to PC’s/or Macs.
The more the better - making this or any game accessible for everyone would make it even more money.

I have wii and while I haven’t bought a retail game since smash bros that doesn’t mean i havn’t been playin it.
Theres been alot of Wiiware games that having been coming out the past few months, Strongbad (stil another 3 of these to come out), Bomberman blast, toki tori, Orbiant, World Of Goo and MegaMan 9 arguably is better on the wii with the nes styled controller.
Besides those Deblob is looking great as is Wario Land Shake.
I personally play the 360 more but the wii was still a good purchase and is the only console my family will sit around and play from time to time which is fun.
I would definitely recommend getting a PS3 or 360 if the wii is your only console but at the same time I’d recommend getting a wii if you only have one of the other two as it has enough unique game to warrant having one.
If LittleBigPlanet came to the Wii, the Wii would actually stop having shitty, kiddy games.
Unfortunately, it’s not happening, so the Wii is stuck with shitty games and whiny kids. Time to play LBP and Resistance 2 ;D
