Xbox 360 RROD lawsuit: Microsoft knowingly manufactured faulty consoles

Just as we all thought that the RROD on the Xbox 360 had almost been forgotten about, the issue has raised its ugly head yet again. Angry customers in California have now raised a class action lawsuit against Microsoft.

The lawsuit, which is to do with an excessive amount of Xbox 360 games consoles have experienced failures, which has been called the Red Ring of death. The lawsuit accuses Microsoft of knowingly manufacturing the Xbox 360, even though they knew the hardware was faulty.

The lawsuit also states that Microsoft hid the failure rate figures, just so they could still compete with the likes of the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3. Read more about the lawsuit at PC World.

I’m certain Microsoft knowingly manufactured the Xbox 360s to be faulty so that people would diss it and buy a PS3 or Wii. That sounds like a wonderful marketing strategy. Everyone should have done the same! WOW!!!

As for hidding the fail figure rates… That’s more than likely a different story!

They should hold all of there CEO’s accountable. It’s unbelievable that a company would knowing do this to people… and what’s even more unbelievable are the people who keep buying this POS.

I bought my Xbox about a year ago. Exactly when my year warrantee is up, it gives me the red ring of death. It’s like it was programmed to die when it would cost me another hundred bucks to fix it, not Microsoft. So would my RROD of crept up a year later if I bought the extended one year warrantee? Something seems very wrong about this. Not alone, Microsoft knowing they are all defective. They are crooks!

So what is my motivation to send it back and get it fixed, if it’s just going to break on me in a year again? My friends play games on their systems a lot more than me. And they all got the RROD as well. It doesn’t seem to be how much you play the system. It seems like a bug planted so Microsoft can prey on kids spending hard earned money on this crap system. VERY WRONG!!!
