Apple’s newest MacBook Pro fully tested
By: Daniel Chubb | October 18, 2008 | Leave a CommentThe latest Apple (AAPL) MacBooks and MacBook Pro’s have been reported on a number of times, but after all that news it’s great to see some real hands-on tests and that’s just what MacWorld have done with the new Apple MacBook line.
While their tests are nicely detailed and can be viewed by hitting the read link below this post, in summery they found that the newest MacBooks perform much better as expected but more so in 3D games.
After testing they were surprised at how well the new MacBooks performed compared to the latest MacBook Pro laptops, Speedmark 5 tests show the 2.4GHz MacBook and MacBook Pro just a few points apart, even with a $400 price gap.
MacWorld have performed some great tests so far and since the press event at Apple’s headquarters was only a few days ago, they are planning many more tests that include the impact of the new graphics processors with different tasks, what their battery life is like, and how they perform in general.
The new MacBook results are compared to a bunch of reference systems that includes the last PowerPC Pro portable. Check out the full test via the read link below or leave a comment with your views of the new Apple MacBooks.
