Prolonged Gmail outage stressing Google Apps administrators
By: Peter Chubb | October 17, 2008 | Leave a CommentAn extended Gmail outage is certainly starting to stress a few Google App administrators; they are coming under pressure from their end users. These include some high-ranking executives, and are asking when the service will be restored.
Google made an announcement about the problem in their official Google Apps discussion forum, Google sad that they were aware that the problem was preventing users of the Gmail service from logging into their accounts; they were hoping to have the problem fixed by 9 p.m. on Thursday.
As yet Google have not given an explanation as to what is the cause of the problem, and why it has taken them so long to fix. Google had said that the 502 error was only affecting a small number of users, nut that is little comfort to those who are experiencing the problem.
