If you were asked what the hottest phone on the market is, the answer would come back, the Apple iPhone 3G. However The T-Mobile G1, the first Google Phone is all set to take the fight to Apple, but has the G1 got what it takes to dethrone the king.

NYT have decided to take another look at the T-Mobile G1, they go into detail about every aspect of the Google Phone. NYT give you an honest and unbiased opinion about the new handset and also a list of the phones features and specs.

NYT have hit upon a potential problem for the G1, and that is with the network T-Mobile. They explain that the network is not the best out there, and that their 3G network only covers about 19 metropolitan areas. Compare to AT&T’s with 280, which is great news for iPhone 3G users.
