Not so long ago Apple was surrounded in controversy, as they admitted to having a kill switch for Apps, which could kill the Apps on the iPhone. Well Google have got of to a clean start, by clearly stating in their terms of service, that they also have a kill switch for Google Apps.
The kill switch has been put in place to help protect users, just in case there are malicious apps or privacy violations, Google said. This admission could anger users, as they thought that they were getting total control over what apps they want to keep on their Android phone.
Google seem to be in a better position than Apple, as they hid the fact, whereas Google are upfront from the start. Google have also set up plains for reimbursing users whose paid apps get recalled. Computer World has said that having a kill switch on Android makes more sense, as their applications are vetted as much as Apple vet their on the app store.

I remember reading about the Google Switch back in 2006. I’m pretty sure the images that were circulated on the web were fakes and the only thing we can expect from T-Mobile is the G1.
