Nissan to recall over 200,000 vehicles: airbag deployment problem
By: Peter Chubb | October 15, 2008 | Leave a CommentNissan have now got to implement the recall of 204,361 vehicles, which are from their 2007 and 2008 range. The vehicles are the ones sold in the United States, which are thought to have a problem with an airbag.
In certain cases, the passenger side airbag might not deploy if in an accident. The cars that are included in the recall are Nissan Altima, Altima Coupe, 350Z, Murano and Rogue; and Infiniti G35 Sedan, G37 Coupe and EX35. The model was built from March 12, 2007 to May 27, 2008.
Nissan have been looking in to this problem since November 2007, after they had received a few warranty reports, stating that airbag warning lights were flashing. Nissan decided back in September that they should conduct a recall.
