Intel have lost out a little with the new range of Apple MacBook’s, as their graphics cards have been pushed aside, in favor of Nvidia. It is not all bad for Intel though as the MacBook and MacBook have an upgrade in the CPU department.
Instead of using the old 65-nanometer Penryn-class chips, Apple decided to change over to the 45-nanometer Montevina processor, these chips are more advanced. In some cases the new chip boasts the memory, so instead of the old 65-nanometer Penryn-class chips with 2MB or 4MB cache, the new the 45-nanometer Montevina processor, has 3MB or 6MB of cache.
The new Apple MacBook Air comes with a choice of the 1.6GHz and 1.86GHz processors both have 6MB of cache memory. The Apple MacBook has a 2.4GHz processor and 3MB of cache memory.
