Joost and PS3 problems: has update 2.50 got Flash 9?

Joost launched their Flash-based player on the October 13, and with the new Sony PS3 firmware update 2.50, the games console should be compatible with the website. The new firmware has Flash 9, and as Joost is now Flash-based things should be sweet.
Well things never seem to go to plan, I went on to my web browser on my Sony PS3 and logged in to Joost, and then choose a video. Well you guessed it, the thing did not play, no matter what I tried I just could not view the Flash videos.
I decided to do a bit of digging, and it seems that a number of forums are saying that update 2.50 did not have Flash 9. So what is going on, why was we told that the update would come with Flash 9, only to learn that this was not true. Has PS3 now got Flash or what?

Flash 9 works fine for me, I’ve played flash games, played flash movies embedded into blogs (such as sony’s own blog), and played HD flash movies from gametrailers.com, all of which were things I couldn’t do before the update.
I tried Joost.com and flash does work on it - as can be seen on the intro movie - however after you log in (which is tricky in itself) the movies don’t seem to load even though the flash player loads. I suspect this is something to do with Joost’s security settings or something, obviously it requires more than just Flash 9. Maybe it needs a newer version of Java too or something?
But either way Flash 9 is definitely their and a lot of websites work a whole lot better because of it…
It IS flash 9…Version 9.0.124 to be exact. It is more likely a java issue. Sony needs to address the poor Java support. 27/100 on the Acid3 test…up from 25 isn’t that great.
the reason why joost is not working is that this site uses flash https on port 443. i think the port is blocked or the certificate is not include in the internal ps3 browser.

i haven’t watched a video that requires flash yet but i was hoping someone could help me fix the videos on my ps3 they’ve all turned black and white since i upgraded my ps3 and i can’t get them back in colour has anyone else had this problem if yes and you’ve fixed it can you leave a msg of how you fixed it
i really like this update version dat sony hav done. its really good, but somehow, whenever i turn the browser off, it takes a long time for me to move the xmb to something else i.e. settings! its really frustrating! i dnt know if its just me or if its everyone! plzzzzzz help!!
Others are also reporting video playback issues - black and white or no image at all. I’m fine with 2.50 but there are some problems I think. Update 2.51?
Sony don’t want you watching stuff for free! My guess is a little programme to block som website’s addresses for flash 9 playback.
yo my system wont let me play my games after i downloaded update 2.50 do ya no wat i can do bout dat
