
Hands-On: New Apple MacBook with glass and aluminum
By: Peter Chubb | October 15, 2008 | 1 CommentIt was the big Apple event yesterday, and as we now know, it was all about their notebook range. Now that the dust has settled we can take a hands on look at the new Apple MacBook which is a mix of both glass and aluminum.
The new MacBook is thinner so needs some extra strength; this is why Apple made the case out of aluminum. You must be wondering about the glass feature. Well the new trackpad is made from glass, which is smoother, as well as having more trackpad area. This new trackpad does not have buttons on show; instead the whole of the trackpad is one big button.
The glass screen on the new MacBook could become an issue, as you tend to get a lot of glare from it. Overall the new Apple MacBook is small with a solid build quality, but the major letdown is that glass screen
