Christmas Day Family Fun and Games

The presents have all been opened, the Turkey has been devoured. What do we do next on Christmas day? In the 16th to 19th centuries, people would play ‘Snapdragons’ this game involves covering a plate of raisins in brandy and setting the whole thing alight.

The players then have to eat the raisins straight out of the fire. For extra points, larger dried fruits like apricots were used and sometimes stuffed with a lucky sixpence! I think we’re all glad that dangerous pastime has died out! Prezzybox have some safer and more fun ideas to keep the family entertained during the after-dinner lull on Christmas day.

Chalenj and Cranium Wow are board games, and when else can we all get together to play a board game than on Christmas day. These board games challenge the player’s creativity, knowledge and physicality as they play the game. Chalenj uses props included in the game to challenge players as they go. Cranium wow uses the talents of the family artist, actor, braniac and wordsmith to progress in the game. Both games are great fun to play and provide something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Pub Quiz is another brain-challenger. Let the quiz master/landlord ask the questions and jot the answers down in your teams. With over 420 questions, in 4 categories, Pub Quiz will keep you entertained for ages.

If you’d rather stay at the dinner table, why not clear off the debris from the Christmas Dinner and turn the table into Dining Table Ping-Pong! This little red tin contains all you need to turn your dining table into a ping-pong arena! Set up a tournament and challenge your granny to a game!

Prezzybox hope that whatever you do on Christmas day, have a good one!

I am just writing to talk about this product I purchased. I want other people to hear me out. I want my money back from the store, and I want other to know what happened to me after I bought this product… so, here goes!

My disappointment in the Nickelodeon slime product:
I bought this product called Nickelodeon slime from (store name) in (Town in Kansas) The container of slime did not have a plastic seal, so I ‘test played’ with it in the store, and soon after, I became obsessed. It was so much fun - the way it slid off my hands without making a mess - the way I could put it into a little ball or throw it in the air – I was in love. Although I immediately fell in love with this ‘toy’ of sorts, this slime was pretty expensive – it sold for nearly nine dollars for a very little canister. Really, I didn’t care; I had spent so much money on other people for Christmas, that I felt I deserved a toy of my own. I bought the product, and drove home happily with my boyfriend as I played with its green gooiness. I bought this slime on Sunday, so I had this product for a total of three days. Although I loved my slime, each day, it seemed as if the quantity of slime became smaller and smaller. I noticed that the slime did not reach the squiggly line on the canister like it did the 1st day that I bought it; in fact, by the third day, the slime was about 1/5 of the size it was on the day I purchased the slime. When I woke up in the mornings after playing with my slime, I noticed that my hands appeared to glow a sort of yellowish-green color, and they both felt very rubbery. (This is after sleeping {not playing with the slime} for eight hours) Were my hands absorbing this product? I don’t really know. Another thing that I don’t know nor understand is why this product shrank like it did; but let me tell you that it really peeved me off. Oh, and another gross thing about this slime is the brown color that it turned after two days. My hands have been perfectly clean every time I played with my slime, and I always kept the product in its can so it wouldn’t get hard; so why did it end up looking more like a big, brown booger than green slime? The canister of slime’s label states something like: “Reusable container for your slime!” I understand that this container ‘could’ be considered ‘reusable,’ because I must keep my slime in the can in order to keep the slime moist. But why would the container even be labeled as ‘reusable?’ I can clearly read the instructions about “care.” Of course I am going to keep my slime in its PERMANENT container, or else the product that I paid nine dollars for will dry up… duh. The only reason that I can think of as to why it would be labeled as reusable, is if, of course, your slime shrinks, so you have to buy more slime so that you can once again have a FULL container of slime. (…which is what you paid for in the 1st place…) After my experience with this strange product, I can’t say that I recommend anyone to buy this as a gift or as just something to play around with. I mean, who plays with Nickelodeon slime anymore anyways? It was a dumb purchase. I am definitely writing some complaints - to both (store name) and to the makers of this preposterous product.
