i have problems with the 2.50 software
i have downloaded it today and when i started my playstation i get a message :
the database on the harddisk will be reconstructed
and i accept. then it goes to 0 % and it stops and my playstation starts again and it does the same. and i can’t get it away.

I it possible that we will see Xvid support on the PS3 in the near future?

when will we see a NTFS support.

    Found Xvid support…

Put the XviD video file on the HDD. Then we can watch it.

I do not think that the PS3 will support NTFS. NTFS is a “Microsoft” filesystem. The algorithm is made for Windows system and not for system like PS3. I think that FAT32 has all the options it needs to host files to a PS3 system.

after insalling the 2.50 software (on my 40GB version) i have had several bugs, crashes, freezes and two times i have had a 3 seconds of delay or wait in the game im playing.
also when playing guitar hero 3 the songs will stop playing for some time, while the notes still scroll by and is counted.
if i knew what this software would do…. id leave my PS alone a few weeks and wait for the next fixer
