General Motors stock prices on the rise: will it last?
By: Peter Chubb | October 14, 2008 | Leave a CommentLast week we saw General Motors stock shares fall to record lows, along with Ford shares as well. Early signs on Tuesday looked much better, as share prices have started to surge once more.
Early trading this morning saw GM stocks selling for $6.80, that’s up 5 percent from yesterday. However that is way down on the $40 per share just last year.
Ford’s stocks were also up; they opened at $2.55 per share, that is up from Friday, when Ford’s shares closed at $1.99. GM and Ford only hope that this trend keeps going, but I have to wonder how long it will last.
