Apple Notebook Event and Live Blog Round-Up
Filed under: Computers

The Apple event today was all about the notebook, and there was plenty going on. Let us give you a live blog round-up at what went on. Firstly Steve Jobs did say as soon as he took to the stage, that today was all about their notebook range.
As with all events like this, they do like to get on to boring things like forecasts and sales figures. Well that’s enough of that. Jobs decided to explain that the new notebooks will be coming with a choice of two NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards. The new GPU’s will give 5 times the performance of GPU’s that they used in older notebooks.
The Multitouch Glass Trackpad is also another new feature; it has a 33 percent larger tracking area. Apple have optimized the friction on the glass, the big change is, there is no button, the whole of the trackpad acts as a button.
The new MacBook and MacBook Pro’s are made from Aluminum and come with a backlit keyboard. The Air has also been updated; the 9400M in the Air comes with a 120GB hard drive, as well as an option and a mini display port.
