Gmail on T-Mobile G1 (Google Phone): No email data cost
By: Peter Chubb | October 13, 2008 | 1 CommentIt is common knowledge that Gmail is a free service, but you would be forgiven for thinking that when you log in so that you can check your email on the new T-Mobile G1 handset, you would eat into your data plan. It looks as though that might not be the case.
There are a number of rumors saying that your are able to use your new T-Mobile Google Phone to access your Gmail for free. So in short, you can use your HTC Dream G1 to grab your emails without using your wireless data package allowance. So no email data cost then.
If you were to try and think of a similar service, it would be something like Fido in Canada offer with the Windows Mobile plan. Would this be a great selling feature for you to rush out and purchase the T-Mobile G1?
