Flash Player for iPhone

Flash Player for iPhone

By: Peter Chubb | October 11, 2008 | 14 Comments

If you were to ask anyone what the biggest drawback was with the Apple iPhone was, I bet most of them would say the lack of a Flash Player. There has been speculation in the air for some time that we could see a Flash Player on the iPhone, Apple have never confirmed this.

Well it now seems that we could actually be getting a Flash Player now for the iPhone, that’s right Apple have finally confirmed that Adobe’s Flash Player will be coming to the ultimate cell phone.

We do know that Adobe would have the Flash Player on the iPhone tomorrow, but that is something that is down to Apple as they have the final say on it. Many believe that Apple are taking their time on this to give them a chance to see how the Adobe Flash Player would affect other Apps from rivals.

    The BIGGEST drawback?
    *MOST* users would say so?

I doubt that very much. I’m fine with viewing billions of non-flash web pages instead.

I disagree with your comment, the biggest drawbacks are definately no flash, no mms

The iPhone desperately needs a Flash Player. Being unable to watch video is extremely frustrating. The only other complaint I have about the iPhone is that the Safari web browser is not stable enough.

One of the draw backs, dont forget not being able to forward sms. Come on apple get it together

My iphone can do mms, forward sms, cam recorder, camera zoom, but mine cannot run flash player on safari (that is the only draw backs).

There is a plugin for safari that enables your device to handle flash based videos. you can stream them from you iphone or ipod touch but only jailbroken users can take and advantage of this…..
