With the latest high-end phones all being touchscreens, lets look at two of the most popular and how their displays compare. How does the Blackberry Storm Touch Screen compare to the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music touch screen?
The BlackBerry Storm smartphone will let you select and type using it’s touch technology, and typing is made easy thanks to the on-screen keyboard that lets you just touch a letter and go.
Touch Screen Navigation on the BlackBerry Storm 9530 / 9500 is easy; you just use your fingertip on the screen like a mouse. The phone features Multi-tap and SureType technology. Other BlackBerry Storm display specs include: Light sensing screen, user selectable font size, 3.25-inch Transmissive TFT LCD, and a 480 x 360 color pixel resolution.
The Nokia 5800 Xpress Music phone has a 3.2-inch screen that looks great from any angle; it has 16 million colors, a 640×360 pixel resolution in a 16:9 ratio.

havin just taken delivery off my nokia i am completely dissappointed. a good friend at work said that i should ged the blackberry (he owns one and loves it) i now wish that i listened to him. i dont like the stylus or the plectrum i find them hard to use and texting seems to be an issue if done at speed. i have 7 days to trial the phone and i am really considering returning it for the blackberry i now feel a little silly for saying that the nokia was better in a earlier post.
Blackberry forgot to put WiFi on the storm, I can’t beleive it, I really want to buy it and my freind who just beat me to it and bought it, is deeply disappointed. I am still wandering ????????????
I’ve just sent my blackberry storm back to the manufacturer because it’s so rubbish. I’m going to get the nokia tomorrow when I’m on day release because my mate told me it’s brilliant. Then again I just read a post of his saying it was no good so maybe he needs to start taking his tablets again. I might just not bother getting one now because I lost all of my money at the bookies the last time I was out and now I only have enough for 2 cans of special brew.
i got the 5800 2 weeks ago and i just got another storm 9500.
storm- beside its email function, all i can say is a true rubbish phone…weight, size, no wifi and the keyboard input is so weird and slow
