AT&T Quickfire: Similar to Sidekick and T-Mobile G1

AT&T Quickfire: Similar to Sidekick and T-Mobile G1

By: Peter Chubb | October 11, 2008 | 5 Comments

As we know AT&T are to add a new phone to their already extensive lineup, and it has much in common to the Danger-powered Sidekick. The new AT&T phone bears even more resemblance to the upcoming T-Mobile G1.

The new phone in question is the Quickfire, but were you aware that this new phone is a rebranded phone which was manufactured by UTStarcom. There is still a lot we need to learn about the new AT&T Quickfire. We do know that the phone has a large display, although it is not known if it will be of the touchscreen Varity, which is all the rage at the moment.

The screen does slide away to reveal a sunken-in QWERTY keyboard, not sure why they would want a touchscreen then. The new phone has been solely designed for those who love to send emails and texts. The AT&T Sidekick will cost $99.99 on a two-year contract.

this phone is amazing! i wanted the sidekick so badly but when i saw the quickfire i no longer felt the need 2 hav the sidekick. the touch screen is actually not as bad as people say it is. sometimes u hav 2 double tap the screen, but appart from that it is pretty cool. the keyboard is probably the best part about it. it is so easy and quick 2 send a message. i hav the quickfire in orange, and this is the best phone 4 any at&t carry who texts alot.

This quickfire is the coolest phone anyone could ever have. My opinion. This phone has features almost like the Sidekick. I really wanted the Sidekick, but when I got this phone, I realized I no longer felt like I wanted the Sidekick anymore. Because this phone is very similar to the Sidekick. It slides, it is a touch (the sidekick is not a touch), you have internet access, it does slide and you can text fast! Any phone like this must be the coolest phone just like this one! I have the quickfire in pink.
