Wait for Blackberry Storm Release Date or Go Bold

RIM have left people with a huge dilemma, do you go and get the Blackberry Bold this month, or do you hang on until next month to get your hands on the Blackberry Storm. The Blackberry Bold has a release date of October 26, while the Storm has no official release date but is expected some time in November.

The Blackberry Storm offers you a 3.2 megapixel camera, with zoom, flash and autofocus functions. That is just for starters, what about the fact that it is the first Blackberry with a touch screen. It certainly looks like RIM have been working hard.

The there is the Blackberry Bold, this comes with just a 2 mega pixel camera, but then again so does the Apple iPhone. The handset can also geotag your photographs, and has a GPS function that is simple to use.

Make your choice the Blackberry Storm or Bold.

I’ve had a BB pearl for almost a year now as well. I love the BB platform and this phones functionality, but I too am having terrible difficulty with its memory self-clean. I’ve taken all the steps to try to prevent it, but it still happens. That said, I’m told that its the only BB that has these issues (I know my husbands curve does not) and cannot wait to get the storm. BB offers so many more practical functions than iphone the choice is simple. Being able to pretend to eat popcorn from an iphone is cool, but call me simple I just love to cut and paste!

Ok so it obvious the storm isnt coming out on the 4th…
The pearl sux. Sorry ladies, but you got it before everyone found out. I have the 8830 and it is great except for the lack of media, almost switched to the curve, but will wait to see what the storm is like. I hate touch/tap screens, but this one is supposed to be “special” We shall see

to all those with issues with the pearl, I think it’s a pearl thing. I’ve been using the 8830WE after having massive crash attacks with the Motorola Q, various LG phones, etc–and I’ve never had a phone that is as stable as the blackberry.

I mean, sure, every once in awhile it crashes–but it’s a mini computer that fits in your pocket. and hits the pavement. and gets talked on for at least 8 hours a day. And after all that…it’s only crashed on me maybe 3 times–and of those, it just needed a reboot. I have heard of lots of problems with the pearl, though. I think it’s because they’re really great at making pda phones, but they tried to skim down the pearl, and it just didn’t work as well as they had hoped, I think. Just a thought.

best phoen I’ve ever had, and I’m really looking forward to the storm.
