I don’t see why, the new XBE offers nothing new, just a changed interface. Sure it has the game installation thing, but my 20GB 360 will hold only one game before the HDD is full (20GB 360 has 13GB free, and the games are 8.4GB).

Better organisation of music artists/albums/tracks – like iTunes, would be good.
Shortcuts to randomly play all tracks stored, or all tracks on an album or by an artist.
Better codec support for music.
Randomise photo selection in slideshow rather than sorting by date only.

If you press Triangle (I think) you can change the order of the pictures by date taken, name, etc. (I think).

I would like to b able 2 play music while playing a game! or at least gt5 pro. there’s a couple of things the xbox does that I wish ps3 could or would do. I’ve been a playstation fan 4 a long time and I don’t think that will change but some new features would b nice.

I would like a flash player update, so i can watch hulu. I would also like somehow more web memory so i can use pandora.com

FLASH UPGRADE and more WEB MEMORY.

That will totally stump what ever Xbox has. We could watch tv, stream movies, and run applications and games via Flash.

HOME would be great but if they held it back to November or December I think it would get a lot more hype since ALL the great PS3 games will be out and its near christmas and consumers would be ‘WOW’d.

some way to lock out the kids or anyone for that matter from music, pics or video that is inopropriate would be a great added feature. I agree with the others on better flash, that would be great, id use my computer less.

More Video Codec support, MKV, All profiles of AVI, WMV,MP4…hard to understand if my Archos 605 can play Nero Digital standard profile, why PS3 seems to have problem showing that. Subtitleds with neither DivX nor MP4 are supported and yes SEARCH option is very much needed..I have 120GB hard drive installed and lot of music, pics and videos..it becomes strikingly cumbersome to find out one that I may want to play…scrolling down and bottom doesn’t always seem to work.

This is so SO needed.

Being able to watch Flash whilst using the Internet is something that is long over due.

The ability to download from the psn store whilst playing any/all games, it seems to work with some but not others, and it never seems to work at all whilst watching a DVD, it’s ridiculous that i can’t download demos and a watch a DVD at the same time.

The ability to mute the background music that starts playing when scrolling through your demos/games would also be very appreciated.

I would like to see 16:9 aspect mp4 actually displayed 16:9 on a 4:3 screen. Minor detail, but it is noticeable.

I think that should be kind of a support where people could see local subtitles when playing games like GTA4. I understand english very well but I think that if there was a way to download or otherwise the machine itself had translation support, it could boost the sales of some games for younger kids and even other people who don’t understand very well other languages. I like the game GTA4 but the only flaw for me is not have other subtitle support in my native language. About the XMB environment, I think adding the capability of playing web streams like a computer would be very good, but if it was possible, a way to compress game installation data could allow having more games preinstalled rather than buying a new hard drive. Other thing is I can’t access my music files from my network because I have more than 15000 songs. Videos and pictures work well but fails when working with many files. I wish I could see webtv channels with some kind of media player like regular computer do. And the possibility of adding gadgets and installation of any kind of compatible software would make ps3 more atractive than a computer. The machine has potential, but Sony should offer the possibility of upgrading the RAM for a small fee. No one should be left out with outdated configurations.

Flash update & more memory to the browser! A LOT of sites are STILL incompatible with the PS3 for this reason! Password protected user accounts & the ability to password protect videos, photos, etc… Not everyone needs to see my PORN! The ability to take in-game screenshots during ANY PS3 game….like in MGS 4 with the digital camera! The option to change and edid our OWN messages in the side scrolling info bar! I wanna see Life With Playstation updated to show news & weather for MY state, dammit! The option to create, upload & use our OWN PSN Avatars! In-game video chat with PS Eye, cross-game invites, and of course in-game custom soundtracks via the HDD during ANY PS3 game….regardless of weather the dev’s support it or not! It’s stupid that we STILL can’t DO that! The ability to charge the PS3 controller during STAND BY mode and the ability to play or display .GIF’s and other animated photos/icons. The option to send video files and MP3 Music to friends, like when attaching a photo to a message. I wanna see support for ALL Canon printers, dammit! Not just Epson! There needs to be an “interactive” calendar to go with the new date and time, so we can pencil in reminders & birthdays, etc… We need SKYPE for PS3. You could SO make phone calls with the PS Eye if they would just DO that! PSP has it, why not PS3? How about an “interactive” XMB through the PS Eye…like in Minority Report? I could go on and on…..

I have been withPlaystation since PS1 came out and its been the best, i have own Nintendo 64 but xbox never called my attention PS3 is the ultimate as far as im concern is the best gaming system out there.

I used to get really mad when i had to get off my game to turn on my bluetooth finally the update came along and they got it fixed so if i forget to turn on my bluetooth to talk shit to my friends online or whoever im playing with i can just hit the PS button and turn it on, but i agree with BRANDON. I support him because all he mention above is what the ps3 owners need jeeeeessh! and will give it a good use for sure. Right now the only website i can go to watch videos is YOUTUBE but if i go to any other website requiring another version of flash “java” it sucks not every video out there is viewed throught youtube i get so fustrated. i Wish that they can come up with an update where i can surf the web and also lsiten to music at the same time as well as when playing a game if i can be playing and listening to music at the same time from my ps3 that would meant he world. Exaple GTA4 it gets annoying listening to same same radio stations it would be so much better to just play music from your ps3 system while ur playiung the game dat way i can listen to w.e i want and just play through the game. But this is deff a head start and PLEASE ANYONE KEEP ME POSTED =].

I Think the music play wilst on Game’s is good,, ALSO wilst playing games online a feature were these a small Icon on screen to use eye toy,, not just talk with Head set, ALSO be able to send file’s to you phone VIA Bluetooth, ALSO enable MSN orsum FUKIN feature to use email..
