Sony PS3 Firmware 2.44 or 2.50: What’s Next and Expectations
By: Peter Chubb | October 9, 2008 | 26 CommentsThere have been a number of rumors that we could be seeing a Sony PS3 Firmware 2.50 by late October. This has not been made official yet, this might not be the case, and we could instead see a 2.44 update first instead.
You have to ask yourself what 2.50 will give us, let us hope that we get even more features to PSN as well as improvements in other areas. Sony has their work cut out for them if they want to try and close the gap to Xbox Live. However; Microsoft are about to make that a harder task once they launch Xbox Experience on November 19.
PS3 Firmware update 2.50 is needed very soon, as Sony has said that it is needed to work well with Home. Let us hope that Firmware 2.50 and Home 1.00 does get an October launch. As yet nothing is known about 2.50, but I am sure that there is a huge list of features that PS3 gamers would like to see, but what?
