Human Powered Car with 60 mph top speed?
By: Peter Chubb | October 8, 2008 | Leave a CommentWhen I was watching a CNN news article I saw that there was a human powered car that could reach a speed of 60 mph. The car is powered by four people, which when they push back and forth on the lever it acts like a piston on a car.
I am not certain how safe the car would be at 60 mph, and I can’t see that it would pass any safety tests. If the human powered car went at a more respectable speed, then I think the inventor is on to something good.
This would be an ideal vehicle for the school run; you could get your children to work knowing that they were getting enough exercise. You can also be proud of the fact that you were doing something for the environment.
