GM deny Corvette ZR1 cancellation rumor
By: Peter Chubb | October 8, 2008 | 1 CommentThere have been rumors for a while now that GM is to cancel their Corvette ZR1. However General Motors have hit out by saying that the cancellation rumor is not true. The rumor was started from the DigitalCorvettes.com forum.
The forum stated that Corvette ZR1 production has been halted. Autoblog watned to get to the bottom of this so contacted GM’s Terry Rhadigan, Chevrolet’s global communications guy. Autoblog showed him the link; Rhadigan’s response was clear, “Not true.”
This just shows how things can get out of hand when a rumor is started, and it is much worse now, as it only takes a few seconds to get around the world, thanks to the power if the Internet.
