Ford to market 2009 F150 in November
October 7, 2008 | Filed under Autos, Trucks & Pickups

Earlier in the summer Ford announced that they had to delay the launch of their 2009 F150. The full-size truck would have to be delayed for just a few months, so that dealers were able to sell off their 2008 models.
The original launch date for the Ford F150 was due to be in October, Ford then pushed that back to December. That launch date has since been brought forward to November. Ford hope that launching the 2009 F150 will help their dwindling sales, but I am not so sure.
Just take a look at vehicle sales across the board, all trucks are seeing a downturn in sales, it is the smaller cars that are now selling more. It is now a thing of the past that an American loves to drive around in his big truck.

Ford knows that there is still a market for pickup trucks, and there always will be. Many drivers that really don’t need a truck will go back to smaller cars, but Ford had a commanding lead in the pickup market before the popularity of trucks, and will continue to focus on one of it’s most popular products.
