2008 TC3 Asteroid hits Earth atmosphere today
By: Daniel Chubb | October 7, 2008 | 2 CommentsEarth to be hit by a fireball, welcome to the 2008 TC3 Asteroid, the 2008 TC3 Asteroid will hit the atmosphere of the Earth tonight (Oct 7 UT) at 2:46 UT (10:46 EDT) over northern Sudan in northeast Africa.
There is a 99.8-100% probability that it will hit Earths atmosphere, you should not be worried in the slightest as this asteroid has no threat whatsoever, it will no doubt burn up during re-entry which will make an awesome air burst, it will apparently detonate with the energy of a kiloton of TNT.
The 2008 TC3 is estimated to be 1-5 meters in diameter and will create a spectacular display which should be highly visible; the trail should be very long indeed.
