Toshiba Super Charge Ion Battery: 90% charge in 10 minutes

How annoying is it that you get so far on your laptop and the battery runs out, then you have to wait about an hour to get a full charge. Well Toshiba understand your pain, which is why they are developing the Super Charge Ion Battery.

This new battery allows you to charge your battery up to 90% full in just 10 minutes. Toshiba only have a prototype of the SCIB (Super Charge Ion Battery), the battery was shown at CEATEC 2008 in Japan.

We are not certain how long it will be until we will see a final version in stores, but I do hope that Toshiba do get a move on, because having a battery like this will help to reduce the stress of thousands of businessmen waiting at an airport.
