T-Mobile G1 Sells Out: will the emulator do?
By: Peter Chubb | October 6, 2008 | Leave a CommentAhead of the launch of the T-Mobile G1, Google’s first Android software powered handset, there were a number of reports that T-Mobile had already sold out. Customers were able to book their pre-orders up until October 21, but the original number sold out.
T-Mobile has now tripled their original number of phones that they ordered, in the hope that they can meet with the demand of the G1. T-Mobile is still allowing customers to pre-book the Google phone, but they will not be shipped until sometime in the future, after the launch of the G1 Google Android handset.
It still seems like a long time off before we can get our hands on a T-Mobile G1 phone powered by Google Android. To help us with the long wait, T-Mobile has given us the T-Mobile G1 Emulator. You are able to take a 360 degree tour of the HTC sourced handset, and allow you a sneak peak of the new Android phone. Will the Emulator be enough for you, until you can get your hands on the G1?
