We found some great information via Engadget and must say this is very interesting indeed, they say that you can now stream Netflix to the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 thanks to the PlayOn Media Server. This is all well and good so it means happy days for the Xbox 360 and PSP and the PS3 user.
All you Nintendo Wii fans have no worries either as it will be coming soon, the new and latest edition of PlayOn Media Server beta will contain the watch instantly support which is available right now.
You can also stream ESPN, CBS, Hulu, YouTube and others straight to the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, HP MediaSmart TV and of course other DLNA hardware. At the moment it is only on Beta and the price tag of around $30 is what it will be after the 60 day trial period.

I downloaded this software over a month ago. It worked at first, but after 2 days it started to give problems. Even now, in its third revision in as many weeks, there is very spotty support and operation. Hulu only worked one day - And they are trying to fix the problem. When it worked, it was great. I’m sure they will work out the problems, but haven’t as of yet.
I have mediatomb installed and running on a Ubuntu machine and it works fine for streaming all kinds of stuff to PS3, and has a great support system. Plus its free which makes it even better. Give it a go, works great.
I’ve been using PlayOn! for a few months now and have not experienced any problems. I haven’t used the ESPN or YouTube plugins but have watched a few Netflix movies from my Instant Queue and lots of Hulu. I liked it so much that when my trial period was over I saw fit to pay the $30 license fee. Well worth it for a one-time fee and unlimited use.
I’ve used PlayOn, off and on, for a couple months. It used to work great, but now, it says it can’t play anything on my xbox360, eventhough I can browse every video and see it’s thumbnail.
What actually happens, is I browse the videos on my tv (through my xbox 360). Mind you, playon is running on an HTPC computer in my living room and the xbox is in the bedroom. When I click to play a video, I can hear the hulu jingle playing in the living room, but the xbox 360 says it lost connection. When I run down the hall to see what’s going on in the livingroom, there’s nothing playing. Weird. Wouldn’t it figure. I just shelled out $39.99 for PlayOn less than a week ago.
Playon worked great for two months, then all of a sudden it will not connect to my PS3. Support is very poor. Wish there was something better out there. Wasted too much time on something that should be working.
