Well the latest news has it that Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata and his company are thinking about you when it comes to gamer’s storage, Iwata has finally announced that in spring of 2009 all you Nintendo Wii gamers will have the cool ability of load and play thanks to the new addition of 2GB storage cards.
Basically get your SD card and put it in the SD slot, you can even download stuff directly to your SD slot, all good news and much more storage.

“Nintendo Wii getting 2GB Storage Card: How do you feel?”
I’m a bit tired these days but otherwise I’m fine.
THink this is actually better than an HDD.
SD cards are cheap, easy to find & at this point or anywhere soon, it’s not likely ANYTHING in terms of DLC, VC or WiiWare will come close to the GB hogging stuff on can get on XBLive/PSN. No HD movie trailers or anything for the big N.
While it’d be nice to see support beyond 2GB (SDHC up to 32GB, for example), this is an easy, relatively cheap solution. Perfecty tailored to the mass Wii market & will also satisfy those who have been screaming for a storage fix for so long.
