Netflix deal with Starz Entertainment announced
By: Peter Chubb | October 2, 2008 | Leave a CommentNetflix do not to be short of money, they have just announced yet another deal, this time with Starz Entertainment. This new deal will bring a further 2500 movies and TV shows as well as concerts to the rental company.
The rental company already has over 12,000 movies and TV shows, which are available through their streaming service. Netflix has more than 100,000 titles available on DVD, so they have a long way to go to bring the gap between the formats.
Starx has said that the deal will allow Netflix viewers to watch a movie much sooner than before. The company said that before this deal, a movie like Spider-Man 3 would not have been available for streaming for at least nine years.
