Sharp AQUOS LC-65XS1U-S & LC-52XS1U-S HDTV pricing

Sharp launched their new slim XS-series televisions in Japan on Tuesday just gone, and they have now disclosed the pricing for both the Sharp AQUOS LC-65XS1U-S & LC-52XS1U-S HDTV.
The 65 Inch LC-65XS1U-S costs ¥1.28 million (US$12,225) and the 52 Inch LC-52XS1U-S will cost ¥980,000. Pricing for these TV’s in other countries have not yet been released, but looking at the figures, they are at least 30 percent higher than other models in Sharp’s range.
Sharp are confident that the high price tag will not put high-end customers off, but with little money to go around in this current climate, Sharp might have just shot themselves in the foot. One thing is certain, these TV’s are not short of features.
